Why go
If you are heading to Koh Yao Noi or Koh Yao Yai, your boat leaves from here. It is a pier to pass through, not a place to visit.
What you will find
The public speedboat (a fast motorboat) to Koh Yao Noi takes 30 to 40 minutes and lands at Manoh, in the south-west of the island; some tickets go to Laem Sai. A slower longtail, a wooden boat with a long-shafted engine, runs too.
Speedboats to Koh Yao Yai take 30 to 45 minutes, mostly to Klong Hia in the north of the island. There is no regular service from Bang Rong to Phi Phi.
Getting there
By road, in the north-east of the island, not far from the airport. Come by taxi, Grab or hire car.
Before you go
The last boat to Koh Yao Noi leaves around 5 pm: if your flight lands after about 3.30 pm, you may miss it and spend the night on Phuket.
From June to September there are about half as many boats, and speedboats can be cancelled in rough seas. Check times when you book.
