Best time
December to March, for a calm sea
Why go
For a beach-club day close to Patong: bars, music and loungers in a small bay, with a quieter second bay next to it. Not the place if you want it wild.
What you will find
Two small bays. The main one is fitted out with bars, shops and a stage; the second is calmer. Guides give an entrance fee of 100 or 200 baht, sometimes including a lounger or a drink.
Getting there
By a private road south of Patong, past Tri Trang, to a car park and then a shuttle down to the beach. In high season there are sometimes boats from Patong.
Before you go
Less exposed than the big beaches, but the bays face west and are rough on days of heavy swell. We could not confirm lifeguard cover: never swim under a red flag.
