Why go
For a small bay that feels like a resort, quieter than Kata next door, with a flat sea in the dry season and snorkelling off the rocks.
What you will find
A small bay below a headland, with three hotels along it. The sea is flat from November to April, with snorkelling at the rocky ends, and rough from May to October. A lifeguard patrol covers it by day.
Getting there
By road, just south of Kata. Parking is limited: arriving by car at midday in high season is a gamble.
Before you go
From May to October the waves come in and the red flags go up: a red flag means swimming is prohibited.
Sources differ on whether loungers can be hired by people not staying at the hotels: bring your own towel and shade to be safe.
