Why go

If you are taking the public ferry to Phi Phi or a boat to Krabi, this is where you board. It is a port to pass through, not a place to visit.

What you will find

The public ferries to Phi Phi arrive at Ton Sai pier on Phi Phi Don: about two hours by big ferry, about one by speedboat (a fast motorboat). Reseller timetables in November 2026 start at around 8.30 am and give the last departure anywhere between 3 pm and 4.30 pm. You pay 20 baht in cash on landing at Ton Sai.

A boat links Rassada with Klong Jilad pier in Krabi Town in about two hours; from Krabi, it leaves around noon. Some speedboats from Ao Nang and Railay also land here.

Getting there

By road from Phuket Town, a short drive, or from the beaches by taxi or Grab. If you book a ferry yourself, check the pier name on your ticket before you take a taxi: Phuket has several piers.

Before you go

Most Phi Phi day trips by speedboat do not leave from Rassada but from the east-coast marinas: check where yours starts.

From May to October, the southwest monsoon brings rough seas, and boats are delayed or cancelled. Do not count on a boat to catch a flight the same day.
